known through the work of Dr. Upledger in the 1970s. The central nervous system (CNS), which consists of the brain and spinal cord, is enclosed inside three protective membranes: the dua matter, the arachnoid membrane and the pia matter, which extend from the brain to the 2nd sacral vertebra.<\/p><p>Specifically, the arachnoid meninges are filled with cerebrospinal fluid.
