Iontophoresis, also called Electromotive Drug Administration (EMDA) is a therapeutic technique where a water-soluble medicine is delivered through the skin with the help a small electric charge (galvanic/direct current).
Medication is delivered directly to the place where it’s needed and is more concentrated there.
